The anthropometric measurements of the cyclist are obtained with the ML Size® device, which is manufactured and assembled by us in France. It is the second step in our postural study. The values are transmitted to a digital tablet via Bluetooth so that the results of the study can be obtained quickly, and with optimal accuracy.
This high-precision tool enables the cyclist’s frame to be scanned with mobile sensors, which are connected to our software via Bluetooth. The aim of this step is to analyse the frame of the cyclist as closely as possible so that we can determine the best position and bike fitting for their morphology.
The ML Size uses 11 anthropometric measurements:
Stature
Inseam
Shoulder width and height
Arm length
Pelvis width (hips)
Right and left femur and tibia lengths (legs)
In addition, our experts add the two foot measurements obtained with the ML Cleat (distance between the heel and the axis of the first metatarsal).
All these measurements are needed in order to take the cyclist's full morphology into account, and be able to prevent the risk of injuries (pathologies, muscle tension, etc.).
The ML Postural System then takes into account all the information sent by the tablet and produces two analysis reports:
Report No. 1 = The ideal position, fitting the bike to your morphology:
This document presents the different adjustments that need to be made to the 3 points of contact between the cyclist and their bike (seat, handlebars and foot/pedal interface). These adjustments will ensure the best possible energy transfer.
Report No. 2 = The ideal geometry of the frame, to find a frame that is almost made-to-measure:
This document lays out the geometry of the frame that is best suited to the cyclist's morphology in terms of tube length and angles (down tube, reach, stack, fork offset, saddle height, saddle setback, etc.).
These two reports enable the technician to apply the correct fitting on a lot of different bicycles.
Shoulder acromion
